The Candid teeth straightening system uses clear plastic aligners to discreetly align your teeth. Many teens and adults want to avoid the metal wires and brackets of traditional braces when straightening their smile, and if this applies to you, our dentists may recommend Candid aligners to help your smile. During your initial consultation, Dr. Lisa Halliday can help you determine if Candid aligners are right for you.
Candid implements convenient technology to help you track and maintain your oral alignment. Once you start treatment, you will be given a Candid aligner kit, which includes your full set of aligner trays as well as your ScanBox™. Then, you will be asked to download the CandidApp™ on your smartphone.
Throughout your treatment, you will continue to switch out your clear aligners as your teeth movie into place. Every two weeks, you will track your teeth’s progress by taking a picture of you teeth using your smartphone and the ScanBox. The photo will be sent to our dentists, who can then remotely monitor your progress and schedule in-person visits as needed.
